Pretty impressive! Very solid, well made ice maker. It’s not cheesy or cheap-looking and it works well. Also very simple to use. I have not connected it to direct water source yet, but that’s a great option. However, filling it manually it super easy; press the on/off button and in a little over 2 hours you have a basket full of awesome ice nuggets. The ice itself is perfect shape and size for drinks. Overall, I am very happy with this ice maker and I highly recommend it.

This guy while not as fast at making ice as the cube variant does an amazing job at what it’s made to do and that’s sonic style nugget ice. It cools drinks faster, easier to freeze and break back up than cubes and it makes amazing iced coffee.

I love this ice maker! We have to make ice regularly with 4 adults in the house and living in a rural setting, and this ice maker has hit our sweet spot with regard to production and quality. I have the Crownful large ice maker, and the slimmer countertop version (due to the structure of this house I cannot get water lines hooked up to a refrigerator so we rely on ice makers). I love them both, but they do make cubed ice and when you’re an ice chewer or have a drink that is going into the blender, I do have to crush it first to go in my drink.
This solves those issues. Super fast, quiet, makes ice in a matter of about ten minutes, and it’s the kind you get out of the good ice dispensers for fountain drinks. You know the one 🙂 It’s a softer ice, much smaller in size, but it does not make less ice than the others–just smaller nuggets of it.
It’s also, like the other 2 icemakers, easy to clean by wiping out. You can also turn these upside down if need be and pour out (I had a power outage and it made a lake inside of the machine so had to pour it out), without issue.
As with all Crownful products I own (I’m always hesitant to buy online so once I find a brand I like, I tend to stick with it because I know what I’m getting), very satisfied.

I’ve tried several countertop ice makers and this nugget ice maker kicks it up a notch! The machine is large for a countertop but small considering the ice it puts out. Creates those perfect little barrel-shaped nuggets of chewable ice, made famous by Sonic. The machine has an easy to use drain plug system that makes cleaning and draining much easier and less cumbersome than other machines I’ve tried! It also has a self cleaning function which I love. I’ve had the machine about a month so I’m excited to see how it goes the distance. We run it almost daily.

Had a new air nugget icemaker and an opal ge ice maker they are loud the new air was ridiculously loud.this one has a low pitched hum probably 48-51 decibels.think of a quiet dishwasher noise level.very quiet can watch tv no problem as it is one of the quietest I’ve heard.and this ice maker is built like a tank!if you are in the market for a nugget icemaker this is the one to buy!also it has the ability to hook up a water line for making ice!again trust me buy this not the ge this doesn’t leak water all over like the ge does.highly recommend!

I’ve reviewed the Crownful Cubed Ice-maker (HZB-18F/SL) so I was curious how this would match up – especially since the price of this nugget ice-maker is about double the price of the cubed ice-maker.
First impressions, I was pleased to see that the space it takes on the counter-top is similar to the slightly smaller (shorter) cubed ice-maker. I was worried that it would look bulkier but it was not.
The taste is great, and everyone seems to love munching on the nuggets as compared to the cubes. I noticed that if the cubed ice stayed in the ice-maker for a number of hours that it would begin melting. This has not been the case with the nugget ice-maker.
After 1 month, I can say that if you regularly use this product that you will not be disappointed by paying extra for this nugget ice-maker. Note: I have not hooked it up to a water source in order to auto fill the reservoir but I imagine that this feature is also well worth the additional cost compared to the cubed ice-maker.

After lengthy researching of nugget ice machines, I finally narrowed it down to 2 machines. I chose Crownful because of the positive reviews and responses by the company to any problems that arose. I had to contact the company recently and they answered my message within one day to resolve my problem. I was happily impressed. And fact that they feel confident to 100% guarantee the unit for a year speaks volumes. We are so happy with this machine. It’s very quiet, makes ice fast and was easy to set up. Can’t wait for the Christmas crowd to come and marvel at it!

It’s makes ice fast. Love it for drinks and therapy. Buy the canvas bags for bar tending and then you’ll be able to “freeze” the ice fully. Super easy to clean and service to far. We use it 3-4x a week. It’s not super loud like people say. I’ve been around m a few ice makers and this one it quite like a fridge. You do have a steady hum as you’d expect. The ice falling into the basket is louder.

Wiley does take up quite a bit of counter space and it is a bit noisy it’s an icemaker what do you expect.

I love the soft, crunchy nugget ice that this ice maker produces. My kids and I are huge fans of the ice places like Chick-Fil-A use in their drinks, and I think this is as close as you can get at home. One thing that is kind of neat about this ice maker is that it quietly spits out a somewhat continuous slow stream of ice nuggets, as opposed to having a big tray of ice cubes that dumps every few minutes. This makes it a lot quieter than other ice makers I’ve owned. I also like that it has a hookup for plumbing it directly to a water line, easy-to-release drain tubes, and a cleaning mode. Setup was easy — had clear instructions to let it rest before using (after transport), and then I just added water, plugged it in, turned it on, and in a short while I had a stream of soft chewy nugget ice. This will be a great addition to our “home movie theater”!
