The quality of this product is certainly up there with the best of other’s on the market.. This certainly isn’t a Leather Strop for Beginners as you might nick and or even cut the leather.. Try out with other cheaper Leather Strops and leave this one out for when you progress onto a expensive Strop.. I also applied 2 coats of Leather Conditioner to help make it a tad softer as it’s very thick Leather. This also help provide some protection against cracking. I am absolutely positive thia Strop will out live my life if I continue to take good care of this Leather Strop.. I plan on passing it down to my son.

OK so for the price ($25) this seems to be by far the best strop available.Yes, as other reviewers have noted that there is a bend/crease due to the packaging and the silly dye they have used that at least is easily removed with a baby wipe. The inward crease (just one area) does subside after a few days and after applying leather cream. Not sure why they bend it inward (into the smooth leather) instead of into the rough side, but that is what they did.In every other way this is a superb product. It puts my other two cheap strops to shame.

New to cutthroat shaving. This is my second strop. I could never do the HHT test until I used this strop. I sanded out the wrinkles and one imperfection on the leather with 1500 sandpaper. I put a generous amount of coconut oil on the leather. The leather was much softer than my first and probably didn’t need to be softer. I put chromium oxide on one side of the cloth. I used the cromium side first. The bare side next. Then the leather. I was thrilled! I’d been struggling to refine my edge after honing. This strop is the ticket. It’s well made, It’s comfortable, It looks nice, It gets the job done. The price is great and I know it will last the rest of my life. I couldn’t be more pleased.

This strop it very well made. I recently purchased a $70 strop for myself from amazon. I bought this $25 strop for my son. This strop is just as well made if not better. Its a little stiff but nothing some conditioning oil cant fix. Dont spend the extra money on other strops. This one is very well made. I just ordered another one for myself.
