Design
The EKG Electric Kettle by Fellow Stagg was created with the user in mind. It comes with an electric base, a kettle, and a top that can be removed.
One small design problem is that the kettle’s cable is just 2.5 feet long, so I had to keep it handy to an outlet at all times. This wasn’t a big concern because the kettle is modest (11.5 x 6.75 x 8 inches), so finding a place for it near an outlet wasn’t difficult.
On the right side of the electric base is a circular button. It’s both a knob (for temperature control) and a button (to turn it on and off).
The temperature is also displayed on an LCD on the left side of the base. I thought the LCD was quite attractive, and it is easy to see because it lights when in use.
On the back of the base, there are two little toggle buttons.
One option is to switch the temperature reading from Fahrenheit to Celsius.
The “hold” toggle, on the other hand, allows the user to keep the temperature selected for up to 60 minutes.
I liked this function since it allowed me to maintain a constant temperature throughout the coffee-making process.
Comfort
Ergonomics is also a strong suit for the Fellow Stagg EKG Electric Kettle. Right above the handle, there’s a pleasant place for the thumb to rest.
This design feature was one of my favourites since it made it simpler to grip onto the kettle while pouring hot water.
Furthermore, the handle is weighted and counterbalanced, bringing the center of mass closer to your hand for a smoother pour.
Performance
Fellow Stagg’s EKG Electric Kettle is a work of art in its own right. I have it in matte black, and the kettle, lid, and base are all one solid colour.
This version appealed to me since it was so simple and elegant. In my kitchen, it sticks out in a nice manner.

One of its most appealing characteristics is the gooseneck.
This is by far the most accurate pouring spout I’ve ever used.
With this pour spout, I was able to control the water flow rate and direction to an astonishing degree.
