What is Juicing?

Using a juicer like the nutribullet Juicer or nutribullet Juicer Pro, juice extraction, or juicing, involves extracting the nutrient-rich liquid from whole fruits and vegetables. The pulp is a great source of fiber and may be readily incorporated into a variety of appetizing recipes as a “by-product” of juicing.

New to blending? Or more specifically, new to nutribullet juicer? You’ve come to the right place! Use this blog post as your guide to get started.

How to Use Your Nutribullet Juicer

Step 1: Unbox Your Nutribullet Juicer

The first step is the same whether you’re using a Magic Bullet, Rx, 600, or PRO. Get your Bullet out of the box. Remove all of the plastic, plug it in, and settle in with your Bullet.

Step 2: Make a Smoothie, Any Smoothie

Take a look in your refrigerator and freezer. What do you have in your possession? Consider the following ingredients: spinach, a banana, ice, chia seeds, and almond milk. Begin with the leafy greens and continue with the fruit, seeds, and ice. Last but not least, add your liquid.

Smoothie Making Tips:

  • Ice should only occupy 25% of the cup, no more than that.
  • Liquid should always be added last.
  • Each cup has a “Max” line, don’t add any food or liquid above this line. The blade needs to be able to rotate and extract effectively and going over the Max line can make it hard for your ingredients to blend evenly. It may even cause leakage, and no one wants that.
  • NEVER add anything hot or carbonated to your Bullet. This causes pressure to build in the cup and may result in a mess or damage, so no hot coffee, no hot foods, and no sparkling water.

Step 3: Blend

Now that you’ve assembled your smoothie, it’s time to combine it! Screw the extractor blade (the one that came with your Bullet) firmly into your cup. Make sure it’s tight so there aren’t any leaks when you’re blending. Then, with the blade attached, place the cup in the motor base. To keep the cup in position, spin it clockwise while pressing it down; this will keep it in place and allow you to blend hands-free.

Keep an eye on your smoothie; it should blend to the desired consistency in 30-60 seconds. If any ingredients become trapped or stop moving, turn the cup counterclockwise to stop it and add more liquid to get things moving again, or shake the cup to release “stuck” components. After that, replace the cup and continue blending.

Stop the bullet by spinning the cup counterclockwise whenever your smoothie appears to be well blended. The cup will rise to the top, the motor will come to a complete stop, and your smoothie will be ready!

Step 4: Drink Your Smoothie

Remove the blade, screw on the lip ring to cover the cup’s grooves, and drink up! That’s all there is to it. Are you on the go with your smoothie? Put on a to-go lid with a flip top and go out the door.

Step 5: Clean Up

Cups can be washed in the dishwasher on the top rack, but blades must be washed by hand. Wash the blade gently with hot water and a sponge, taking care not to scratch it; after all, it is a blade.

If your motor base needs cleaning, wipe it off with a cloth, but remember to unplug your Bullet first. If it requires a deeper clean, scrub it inside with warm soapy water and a toothbrush. Before using it again, wipe it clean and let it air dry.
