You’re not alone if you tried to watch the…
…Nespresso descaling videos and were absolutely perplexed.
I had to make this step-by-step instruction on how to descale…
…a Nespresso Vertuoline after trying to follow along…
…and having to go back to different parts of the video several times.
Ready to do nespresso descaling?
The step-by-step instructions will work for any Nespresso Vertuolines…
…including Next and Evoluo.
But before that, let’s hear our coffee lover friend’s experience…
…when she did Nespresso descaling
This is Eden’s story…
Every two months, I descale my Nespresso machine…
The calcium and magnesium chlorides in coffee brewing water…
…tend to bind themselves to the metal frame of the heating element…
…forming limescale. The build-up prevents the machine from performing as it should…
Parts of the appliance will wear out faster if you neglect about this basic step…
It will only take 20 minutes to descale. You’ll receive better coffee as a result…
…and your machine will last longer.
“Scale” is the name we use to describe mineral build-ups. These build-ups are hard and rough to the touch, much like the hardened exterior layer (scales) of reptiles’ skin (If you’re ever had the pleasure of touching an iguana you’ll know).

Now let’s do it!
Nespresso Descaling : When To do It?
The answer is straightforward: your Nespresso Vertuoline…
…will notify you when it’s time to descale. The frequency with which it…
…must be descaled is determined by how frequently you brew coffee.
When your power button (the top button) starts blinking…
…it means it’s time to descale it. If you prefer a schedule…
…Nespresso recommends decaling your Nespresso machine…
…every 6 months or 600 coffees.
Keep going!
What Does Nespresso Descaling Do?
The minerals in your water pile up a little bit every time you brew coffee…
Calcium, magnesium, sulfate, and carbonate are common components…
…of this build-up. It begins to adhere to the interior walls of the machine…
…forming that build-up. When we descale, we simply break down those…
…mineral deposits so that your equipment does not become clogged.
The buildup can cause a lot of issues with your machine…
…but the most serious issue is that it can prohibit…
…your machine from brewing coffee!
This could be the cause of your machine’s delayed brewing…
By the way, I will suggest you have this great thing! This is a must-have item for your Nespresso needs!
