…you want to create cool beverages for the family. I’ve spent a lot of time dealing with hot summers and kids and grandkids who just want something tasty to drink. You will also discover that these beverages do not have to be expensive. Make these delicious cocktails this summer; you will not be disappointed.

Here are 7 quick and refreshing simple beverages for summer or any time of year! Some of them can be prepared ahead of time for any celebration or gathering. I appreciate meals that are ready when you are. I’ll be attending a few of family reunions this summer, and I know precisely what I’ll be drinking. It contains ice cream. It’s my personal fave! Banana Crush Slush

If you like the flavor of bananas and want something refreshing, try this drink!

Time to Prepare: 10 minutes

Course: Drinks

Cuisine: American

Servings: 8 people

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups water
  • 1-3/4 cups orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 3 cups mashed bananas
  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 6 cans 7-Up or Sprite

Instructions

  1. To produce a syrup, bring the sugar and water to a boil (dissolve the sugar).
  2. Combine all of the other ingredients and stir them into the syrup.
  3. In a 9-by-13-inch pan, freeze the mixture.
  4. When ready to serve, fill the glasses halfway with the slushy mixture and top with 7-up or Sprite.

Lemon Slush With 7-Up

I don’t know about you, but I love lemon. When you make this Lemon Slush with 7-UP, you will be in heaven!

Ingredients

  • 4 cans frozen lemonade, 12 oz.
  • 4 quarts water
  • 6 cups sugar
  • 3-4 quarts
  • Sprite or 7-Up

Instructions

  1. Combine all of the ingredients and place in the freezer.
  2. Add 3 or 4 pints of 7-Up after freezing. This is ideal for a party.

This is a favorite of my family’s for parties. Raspberry Punch with 7-UP is delicious and simple to make. You’re going to love the flavor!

Ingredients

  • 1 raspberry package Kool-aid
  • 1 cup of sugar 4 cups of cold water
  • 1 can frozen lemonade, 6 oz.
  • 10 ounces fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 2-3 quarts
  • Sprite or 7-Up

Instructions

  1. Combine the ingredients and place them in ice cube trays to freeze.
  2. Fill a glass halfway with 7-Up and chilled ice cubes.

  • 2 cans frozen orange juice, 12 oz.
  • 2 cans frozen lemonade, 12 oz.

  • 7-Up

Instructions

  1. In a large pan, combine all of the ingredients and refrigerate before serving in a punch bowl.
  2. These are excellent refreshing beverages for a get-together.

When it’s sweltering outdoors, all you want is something sweet and cool. Four Fruit Freeze Slush will quickly chill you down!

Ingredients

  • 1 12 oz. apricot nectar
  • 14 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 frozen orange juice can (thawed) 1-6 oz.
  • 1-6 oz. thawed frozen lemonade
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 gallon cold ginger ale

Instructions

  1. Combine the juices and sugar, then add the milk.
  2. Freeze in ice cube trays until the texture is mushy.
  3. Fill four tall glasses halfway with ginger ale.
  4. Serve with orange slices and maraschino cherries as garnish. Yummy!

  1. Combine all of it in a blender. Makes 3 cups.
