Key Ingredients for Keto Broccoli Salad
You can use bacon, turkey bacon, bacon bits, or vegan…
…bacon in this recipe! In my air fryer, I like to cook…
…bacon until crisp, let it cool, then chop it into small…
…pieces. This keto broccoli salad can be made with fresh…
…or frozen broccoli florets. Use frozen florets that have been…
…thawed completely and drained well. Looking for it? OK!
Sometimes, I snack on this frozen floret straight from the bag. They’re crunchy, and they’re low in fat and sugar! Here’s my recommendation for frozen florets…
- 2 - 1.2 ounce re-sealable pouches (2.4 oz total) of broccoli FLORETS ONLY – 100% Freeze dried broccoli florets only (1/2) - no stems; no added oil, salt, or other ingredients; no sulfites or preservatives.

Make sure that you remove as much water as possible…

Without adding non-keto ingredients Swerve gives the…

If you are wondering about my top picks ingredients to complete the final adds in serving the keto broccoli, here they are:
- TASTES AMAZING: Swerve is sweet and delicious. It is a natural sugar replacement that does not have the bitter aftertaste associated with other sweeteners like stevia and monkfruit.

Chef’s Tips For Keto Broccoli Salad
- Allow enough time for the keto broccoli salad to chill. If the dish has time to sit and mingle, the flavors will amplify! Salad is even better when it’s cold.
- If you want the bacon to stay crispy, you can prepare the rest of the salad as written, then crumble it just before serving. Even though it isn’t totally necessary, especially if you are making the salad an hour or two before you are planning to eat it, you might prefer it this way!
- Reduced fat mayonnaise or sour cream are fine if you like, but keep in mind that most reduced fat and fat free versions of foods contain added sugar. When fat is removed, some of the flavor is lost, so sugar is usually added to compensate. You can also use ranch dressing or more sour cream for the mayo, or you can substitute plain yogurt for the sour cream.
Keto Broccoli Salad Dressing
- ¾ cup full-fat mayonnaise
- ¼ cup full-fat sour cream
- 2-4 tablespoons Swerve granular or Confectioners’
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
How to make it…
- In a large bowl, combine broccoli, cubed cheddar cheese, chopped red onion, crumbled bacon, and sunflower seeds. Stir the ingredients in the stirrer until they are combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine all dressing ingredients. To make the dressing, add 2 tablespoons of Swerve, taste, and add more if necessary.
- Dress broccoli salad with dressing, stirring to evenly coat salad ingredients. Salad should be chilled for at least one hour. Serve chilled.
- While some keto-eaters avoid onions, others don’t mind them. We use only a small amount of onions in this recipe so they shouldn’t have a big nutritional impact. I totally understand if you don’t want to include them! Generally, skipping them will save you 1-2 carbs.
- Make it vegan by using vegan bacon, vegan cheese, and vegan mayo.
- There are approximately 12 servings in this recipe. Here are the nutritional values for 1 serving of red onion and 2 tablespoons of Swerve. Actual macros may vary slightly depending on the brand and type of ingredients used.
- Determine the weight of one serving by preparing the recipe as instructed. If you divide the weight of the finished recipe by 12 (excluding the container it is in) you will get the weight of the finished recipe. One pound of food equals one serving.

More again…
As a substitute for buying heavy cream at the grocery store, I bought this. To be honest, I’d recommend this product more as a baking ingredient and sauces mix than as a coffee cream substitute, so I tried to put this on my keto broccoli salad and it’s turned good.
- 1 full pound of wonderful Hoosier Hill Farm Heavy Cream Powder. Dried sweet cream with 72 percent butterfat. Gives a rich flavor and creamy mouth feel to mixtures without adding water

Lastly!
Look no further than this brand of mayonnaise, which is free of canola and soybean oils. You won’t be disappointed, I promise. I’ve used it for baking, casseroles, sandwiches, and keto broccoli salad, the result is it’s worked flawlessly.
- COLD WEATHER WARNING: During the winter, product can separate if they freeze in transit. While safe to eat, it will not look or taste appealing. You may wish to delay ordering until temps are warmer

How Long Is Keto Broccoli Salad Good In The Fridge?
If you keep the salad in the fridge for a long time…
…the broccoli will become softer. In my view, this…
…is actually a positive development.
As the broccoli marinates, it becomes mellower…
…and more flavorful. If you plan to keep this…
…broccoli salad for about 3-4 days, be sure to cover…
…and seal it well. The last thing you want is to smell…
…red onions in the Instant Pot yogurt you just made…
…and left to chill!
Sum Up
You can save time by buying the broccoli pre-cut…
…or from the salad bar.
You can use any type of seed instead of sunflower…
…seeds. Adding a little blue cheese to this salad…
…makes it quite delicious. So that you can contain…
…the smell of red onions in your fridge covers the…
…keto broccoli salad tightly for a few days.
You can try this recipe with cauliflower florets. You…
…can add cooked chicken ham to this salad to make…
…it a full meal.
