Colors are lovely. Okay, one is only white, but the raspberry and the green stand out from the rest of our crock’s utensils, and white is timeless. We liked the colors, although we understand that some people may want a set that matches the color scheme of their kitchen.

Although there is an imprint for your thumb on the black handle, there were instances when we held the handle in various places and didn’t even notice the indent. The spatulas have a hanging hole on the end of the handle, but we preferred to slide them into our crock. We liked that the handles are wide enough for comfort but don’t take up a lot of room.

We appreciated the shovel-shaped head on the raspberry-colored spatula for stirring a pot of chili or soup on the stove. The end of the handle could fit into the pot’s corner to prevent anything from burning, but it was also a fantastic shape for stirring pasta. The tiny scoop shape wasn’t quite as handy for scooping or serving soups as a spoon or a ladle, but it worked well for thicker dishes.

The white and green spatulas have the same shape but in different sizes, with the green one being the white one’s little brother. Whether we were scraping the bowl of our stand mixer or getting into the corner of a skinny peanut butter jar, each head had a rounded edge and a pointed corner that made it a delight to use. Planning to buy the best silicone spatula? we have a list of recommendation you can check.

OXO Good Grips Silicone Spatula Set Performance

While the two larger spatulas were excellent for cooking and scraping larger containers, we preferred the small green spatula. In a pint-sized canning jar, it was the perfect size for creating a homemade salad dressing. While a larger spatula might have fit, the little one had plenty of room within the jar to move around for more vigorous stirring, and it reached down into the jar’s bottom to ensure the spices were properly mixed.

Not only did the little guy perform an excellent job of extracting peanut butter from the bottom of a jar, but it also served as an excellent instrument for spreading our prize onto crackers. It was also useful for cleaning the wiring on the whirlpool on our stand mixer.

We used the larger white spatula to scrape the mixer’s bowl both during mixing and when transferring the batter to baking tins. We were unhappy when we scraped chocolate cake batter from a mixing dish because there wasn’t enough batter left over to sample! With muffin batter and frosting, we got the same result.

While the raspberry and white spatulas are preferable for different activities, there were instances when we just grabbed the first one we saw or when the one we wanted was already in use. Even though they were our second option for stirring or scraping, they performed admirably.

OXO Good Grips Silicone Spatula Set Material

The spatulas’ business end is constructed of silicone, the neck is nylon, and the handle is Santoprene, so they can withstand extreme heat. They’re heat resistant up to 600 degrees, which is more than enough for our purposes, but it also ensured that we could use them in a hot pan. When we left a spatula in a hot pot while cooking, the handle didn’t get damaged where it leaned against the pot, which has been a problem with other kitchen equipment.

In a pint-sized canning jar, it was the perfect size for creating a homemade salad dressing.

The silicone in the head has the appropriate density, with just enough bend to contour to the jar, bowl, or pot we were working in, yet strong enough to handle dense things like a sticky marshmallow-like icing. When we scooped the flesh out of cooked spaghetti squash, we discovered that these spatulas have the appropriate density. The spatula was sturdy enough to handle the squash but soft enough not to break the skin, as metal spoons may. Despite the fact that they’re all safe to use with nonstick cookware and bakeware, they did a fantastic job scraping the bottom of a Dutch oven when food started to stick.

The nylon neck is rigid and durable, ensuring the safety of the user.

Cleaning OXO Good Grips Silicone Spatula Set

We hand washed them and let them air dry when we knew we’d be using them right away. Even after scraping sticky batters or stirring oily food, cleaning was a breeze. A short rinse with hot water flushed the residue away, and a fast swipe with soap ensured we’d gotten rid of the remaining traces. The spatulas fit perfectly in the dishwasher after we finished using them for the day and came out clean.

OXO Good Grips Silicone Spatula Set Price

This kit is very inexpensive as a three-piece set. We sometimes complain about sets because one component isn’t as useful as the others, or we can’t envision using more than one at the same time. We found that all three spatulas were beneficial on their own, and there were instances when all three were in use at the same time.
