You might be able to brew coffee directly from your cup if you have a compostable coffee capsule. Simply take the pod from its box, set it in your mug, and pour boiling water over it gently. Allow the pod to steep about a third to half an inch after stopping about a third to half an inch from the brim. Use a spoon to keep it submerged if it starts to float.
