You can now make the ideal crepes at home, especially if you have electric crepe maker.

If you’ve ever wandered the streets of Paris, entranced by every crepe vendor you see, you might want to invest in a crepe maker for your own kitchen. Looking for best crepe makers recommendation? We have a list you can check.

Crepes are the French equivalent of pancakes, but unlike the puffy American style, they are much larger and thinner, can be filled with both sweet and savory ingredients, and are folded or rolled. A crepe maker could be a terrific gadget to add to your kitchen if you want to change up your breakfast routine or impress guests.

Because of the diversity of fresh fruits utilized, crepes have their own distinct flavor. Strawberry crepes, for example, have a taste that is quite close to strawberries, so you can almost always find one in a grocery shop. It’s a waste to buy generic ones because they become mushy and/or fall apart quickly.

Having them offers you the ability to make meals look more remarkable or appealing to the eye. It might appear to your visitors as a work of art, or it can simply be popped into the oven and served. Of course, everyone has their own preferences, and the appearance of your crepe is entirely up to you. Isn’t it true that if something looks beautiful, it must also taste good?

Electric Crepe Maker

Electric crepe makers are ideal for making huge crepes or cooking crepes for a crowd. The surfaces of the largest profile of the three designs are composed of nonstick aluminum plates, making them lightweight and inexpensive, but their temperature settings aren’t perfect.

Heat indication lights indicated that pans were ready to use in two to five minutes in our tests, but they usually proved to be an unreliable predictor of whether the pan was hot enough to use. On the plus side, all of the nonstick surfaces were simple to clean, which is significant given that none of the models can be submerged in water.

Cordless Electric Crepe Makers

If your batter spreading (or flipping) technique is rusty or nonexistent, cordless electric crepe machines are ideal: they cook uniformly, don’t require flipping, and produce consistently thin crepes. They’re the quickest to heat up (about 90 seconds), and our studies found that their peak temperatures were often lower than those of regular electric crepe makers. Despite the wipe-clean nonstick surfaces, the cordless crepe maker category proved to be the most difficult to clean due to gaps between the nonstick surface and the attached base handle.

What Kind of Pan Do You Use for Crepes?

You’ll need a crepe pan if you eat a lot of crepes. A crepe pan, an electric crepe maker, and a cordless electric crepe maker are the three types of crepe makers available to home cooks. Home crepe pans and makers come in sizes ranging from 7.5 inches to 16 inches.

We recommend a 10 to 12-inch diameter pan for home cooks and beginning crepe-makers, and the quickest approach to spread the batter is to lift up the pan and slowly spin your wrist, allowing the batter to cover the pan’s surface. This will be a manageable size for perfecting your crepe-making abilities while still providing enough cook surface for more than just crepes (think tortillas, fried eggs, pancakes, and grilled cheese).

Crepe Pans

Crepe pans are thin and short, making them easy to store, and our lab testing revealed that these non-electric crepe pans provided us with the heat control we needed to get the right golden hue in the shortest time possible. Furthermore, if you pour too much batter into a pan, it’s simple to empty it out (this cannot be done with electric crepe makers).

Nonstick, cast-iron, and enameled cast-iron crepe pans are the most common. Cast iron choices can be cooked to considerably higher temperatures than nonstick and even the electric options below, but they are also heavier and the handles tend to grow hot, making it difficult to flip your crepe.
