  • Sixth, remove the group handle, rinse (and replace) the blind-filter, and store it. Under warm running water, use your scouring pad to clean out the basket-end of the group handle. Soak the basket-end of the group handle overnight in the soaking bucket. IMPORTANT: Avoid immersing any component of the plastic handle. Prolonged immersion in water will eventually cause the plastic handle to dry up and shatter.
  • Seventhly, thoroughly clean the shower heads. Shower heads are located within the grouphead. Consider the grouphead from the inside. There will be a screw and a brass plate to secure the shower screen. Remove the screw and place it in a cup that you will set on top of the commercial espresso machine in the morning so that you will know where it is. Remove the brass plate and the screen. Both of them should be scrubbed with your scouring pad and placed in the soaking bucket.
  • Eighth, remove the drip tray’s gratings. Drain the drip tray. Clean the drip tray and gratings and set them aside overnight to dry. Reintroduce them to the commercial espresso machine in the morning, after they have dried completely.
