The first thing you will notice when you open the box is the fact that it’s very compact. This doesn’t mean that there isn’t room inside for a lot of features though. It just means that everything has been put in so that it takes up less space than other models on the market. So you’ll be able to get more out of this product than if it was bigger!
A number of manufacturers have developed their own software packages specifically designed for their machines. These programs allow you to input all of the ingredients into the machine and then select various settings such as how much kneading action should be added. In addition, you can set it to automatically cook or bake the bread.
If you prefer, you can even use pre-packaged doughs which you place into the machine before using. You can also have the unit alert you to any problems while you’re baking. Some even include a built-in timer. There are plenty of options available depending upon exactly what you want from your bread making experience.

Cake
In addition to bread, a bread machine can be used to make cakes. Bake, Bake-only, or simply Cake are all common names for this program. Everything worked out OK, although the top should have been crispier – something that can only be achieved in the oven and with proper drainage to the meat.
Meatloaf is baked in a loaf tin, which means the fat has nowhere else to go, so it lies on top of the meat. To remove the fat, I recommend pouring it out of the bread machine, but be careful not to lose all the glaze!
Jam
If you want to make jam, you can set your bread maker to do so for several hours and then remove the bread from the pan. A simple recipe is included in your instruction handbook, but there are many more available online.
I decided to use Panasonic’s blueberry jam recipe, which calls for simmering 700g of blueberries with 400g of sugar for 1hr 50mins, and then straining the mixture. First, I added half of the berries, followed by one-third sugar, as recommended.
I also added 87ml of liquid pectin, a thickening agent for jams, because I prefer a firmer jam. Jams made with stone fruit or some berries, for example, may benefit from the addition of this ingredient.
Because it isn’t as sweet as most commercially available jams, this homemade version is a great accompaniment to pancakes. Eat any homemade jam within a month after it’s been stored in the refrigerator in a clean jar.
Soups and Sauces!
When it comes to making jam-based sauces and soups, it is a simple process. In order to have a smooth finished product, you’ll need to purée the final mixture, but this is a step you’d have to take with any sauce or soup that you cook on the stove.
Dishes That Made of Rice
You may cook rice in your bread maker by using the “Bake” or “Cake” mode and adding water and rice to the bread pan. The Jam setting can also be used to make rice pudding or even risotto.
It’s vital to stir while cooking for those two recipes, and a bread machine can come in handy here. If you’re making jam, you’ll need at least an hour and a half; if you’re making pudding or risotto, you’ll need less time.
