Wall Oven

Because they are built into the wall, wall ovens are a space-saving option in the kitchen. Wall ovens save you from bending and stooping and make it easier to remove heavy pans from the oven when they are set at a comfortable height.

Because there is no door opening, you don’t have to worry about spills and splashes. Some wall ovens can also double as microwave ovens, so you can use them to cook food without having to open the door. There are also features that allow you to cook directly above the stovetop using convection heat. Below, I will show you how to install single wall oven.

How to Install Single Wall Oven

Step 1

Turn off the oven’s electrical circuit by turning off the breaker. A non-contact electrical tester may be used to confirm that the oven’s power has been disconnected. Switch more circuit breakers or the main breaker to the home if the light on the tester indicates that power is still being supplied to the circuit.

Step 2

Use a tape measure to determine the oven enclosure’s width and height. Using a reciprocating saw, cut the cabinet’s rough aperture, providing about 1/4-inch space on each side.

Step 3

Removing the cover plate from the oven’s junction box using a screwdriver is all that is needed to complete this task. Insert a wire clamp into the hole in the cover plate using a screwdriver. Secure the clamp to the plate by tightening down the locking nut. Tighten the screws on the clamp to secure the metal cable sheath around the oven’s wires.

Step 4

To remove the insulation from the tips of the electrical circuit and oven wires, cut out 3/4 inch of insulation. A wire nut can be used to connect the black wire from the box to the black wire from the oven.. The red wires should be connected in the same way, followed by the white wires. A wire from the box should be plugged into the oven’s green wire. The green grounding wire from the oven should be connected to the white wires in the wire nut if there is no bare wire in the box. Secure the lid of the junction box with the two screws provided.

Step 5

Oven: Lift and slide it into the oven enclosure until the flange is against the cabinet’s face. Using a 1/8-inch drill bit, pre-drill each of the four mounting holes, then tighten a mounting screw through each of the holes to attach the oven to the wall. If necessary, attach any necessary trim pieces to the screws. Test the oven door’s functionality by sliding it onto the hinges and opening and closing it.

Step 6

The oven has to be tested, so flip the breaker on.

What Are the Benefits of Single Wall Oven

When choosing a wall oven, be sure to consider additional options such as: cooking times, temperature control, baking capabilities, and even energy efficiency.

What are the benefits of single wall ovens? It’s true – single wall oven provide many advantages over conventional ovens. Here are just some of the things that single wall oven offer:

  • Easy clean up. Most single wall ovens come with removable racks and shelves so cleaning is easy. A standard dishwasher is usually sufficient for cleaning.
  • Quick heating. With less surface area exposed to heat, single wall ovens tend to reach optimum temperatures faster than other types. This means you’ll spend less time waiting for food to bake, reducing prep time.
  • Easy cleanup. Again, because most of these appliances mount behind a wall, they’re much easier to clean then conventional ovens. Just wipe off the interior surfaces once every few days.
  • Great for small spaces. Smaller rooms need smaller appliances. No one wants to get to their refrigerator only to find out it’s too big to fit inside. That’s why single wall ovens are great for narrow spaces like those found under counters and cabinets. They create a smaller footprint and are easier to store away when not in use.
  • Efficient heating. The lower profile of single wall ovens allows better ventilation which helps prevent overheating. Many models also include fans that circulate air around the oven ensuring even distribution of heat.

For convenience and flexibility in the kitchen, you can’t beat the combination of a cooktop and wall oven. Unlike with a range, you can separate stovetop cooking from oven tasks, alleviating congestion in a busy kitchen.”
