Here’s the thing…

Mixer

A mixer, often known as a hand mixer or stand mixer, is a kitchen appliance…

…that utilizes a gear-driven mechanism to spin a set of “beaters”.,..

…in a bowl holding the food or liquids to be mixed. The beater..

…may consist of one or more rotating blades mounted at an angle…

…within the container and driven by a motor. A typical stand mixer…

….has three beaters: two for beating dry ingredients and one…

…for whipping cream or eggs. In addition there are often knobs…

…allowing adjustment of speed and direction of rotation.

Stand mixers can have different attachments such as whisks…

..spatulas, scrapers, measuring cups, etc., which allow various tasks…

…during the process. Some models have several containers…

…so they can be used for multiple purposes; these include a separate bowl…

…for creaming butter, another for whisking egg whites, yet others…

….for sifting flour, cutting herbs, grinding nuts, making pastry dough…

…and many other functions. Most modern electric stand mixers come…

…with variable speeds from very low to high. They usually feature pulse buttons…

…that control how fast the rotations occur between each cycle.

Some offer adjustable beaters, while some have only one fixed blade….

…attached to the base. In here we have story from Roxy…

…about her experience using mixer.

Let us hear Roxy’s story...

I am a bakery and I really love baking! But I don’t have any good tools…

..for mixing my dough, for all this time, Im mixing my dough with spatula.

One day I felt so lazy to do anything about baking, cause it’s really takes a lot of my time.

Finally I decided to buy a mixer , after reading reviews I bought stand mixer….

cause I need a tools that can process big load of dough. So far I’m happy..

with the purchase, since I started to use it, I feel much more comfortable…

doing things by myself. The biggest benefit was saving me lots of time…

now instead of spending hours on manual kneading and mixing,

I just put them into mixer and let it run until everything mixed well together.

Another thing that I like about this tool is it’s easy to clean…

because there isn’t any moving parts inside unlike food processors…

..where every part has to be cleaned separately. Also the best part of buying…

….this mixer is that it saves me a lot of energy, before using this mixer…

I had to spend at least 2-3 hrs daily on kneading, I could easily reduce that amount to 30 mins.

It’s really worth a money!

So, from the story above, we can see that using mixer…

…can really boos up your production time significantly! Yet if you have a bakery…

…and then you also need a commercial mixer too…

…it’s a really worth investment for you. You don’t know how to choose?

Don’t worry, in this blog, we also have an article…

How to Mix Dough With a Mixer

Many cooks have found that mixing their own bread or pizza dough…

…is much easier than using store bought mixes. It’s not hard at all…

…if you follow these simple steps:

  1. Measure your flour into a large bowl.
  2. Add yeast/baking powder/pinch salt. Stir well until combined. If there are lumps they should disappear after kneading.
  3. Make sure water is warm enough – this means about 30 degrees C / 86F but feel free to use whatever temperature feels right to you.
  4. Once everything has been measured out add 1 cup of warm water and stir again. The mixture needs to become very wet so make sure you get rid of as many dry spots as possible before adding more liquid. You may need up to 2 cups total depending on how sticky your ingredients are.
  5. Knead by hand or machine for 10 minutes while slowly incorporating the remaining liquids. This step helps develop gluten strands which gives the final product its structure. Remember to keep rotating the ball around the sides of the bowl.
  6. After the first 5-10 minutes let the dough rest covered for 15-20 minutes then repeat process 3 times. Each time increase the amount of water added gradually. At the end of each addition incorporate the liquid completely into the dough. 7) When all the additions have been made it’s ready to shape. For best results roll the dough into balls. Flatten slightly and place onto greased baking sheets. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and allow to rise for 45 minutes – 60 minutes. Depending on ambient humidity, room size etc., you might only require an additional 20-30 minutes rising period. During this time preheat oven to 220C / 425F.
  7. Bake for 8-15 mins depending on desired colour and texture. To test doneness remove from tray and touch bottom; if golden brown slide knife through middle and check consistency. Remove when cooked. Cool on wire racks.
  8. Store cooled loaves in sealed containers or freeze for later consumption.
